Information We Collect We collect information you provide when a school registers and uses SmartEdmin, including school details, administrator and staff information, student records, attendance, academic and fee data, and communication content. We also automatically collect limited technical data such as device type, browser, IP address, and usage logs to keep the platform secure and working reliably.
2. How We Use Information We use your information only to operate and improve SmartEdmin: to create and manage school accounts, process the features you use (attendance, exams, fees, communication, transport, and more), provide support, ensure security, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Data Ownership Each school owns the data it enters into SmartEdmin. We act as a data processor on the school's behalf and store data securely so the school can manage its own students, staff, and operations.
4. Data Storage & Security Data is stored on secured servers with access controls, encryption in transit, and regular backups. While we take strong measures to protect your data, no system is completely immune to risk, and we encourage schools to use strong passwords and manage user access responsibly.
5. Data Sharing We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting, payment gateways, and communication services), and only to the extent needed to deliver our services. We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Children's Data SmartEdmin processes student information on behalf of schools. Schools are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent from parents or guardians in accordance with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
7. Your Rights Schools and users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data by contacting us, subject to the school's own policies and applicable law.

2. TEACHER / STAFF PRIVACY POLICY

3. Who Can See Your Data Your school administrators can access your staff records as part of normal school management. SmartEdmin staff access your data only when needed to provide support or maintain the platform.

2. Purpose This information is used only to support your child's education and school administration — including attendance, exams and results, fee payments, timetables, transport, and communication between the school and family.
3. Role of the School Your school is responsible for the student data it enters and for obtaining any consent required from parents or guardians. SmartEdmin stores and processes this data on the school's behalf.
4. Children's Privacy We recognize that student data is sensitive. We do not use student information for advertising, and we do not sell it. Access is limited to authorized school staff and the student's own parents or guardians.
